About Clarence
Clarence K. Chan graduated from Stagg High School in 1988, Yale University in 1992, and Hastings College of the Law in 1997, the same year he was admitted to practice in the State of California. Prior to establishing his own practice, Mr. Chan worked for the Stockton law firm of Kroloff, Belcher, Smart, Perry and Christopherson from 1997 to 2002.
Since 2002 Clarence K. Chan has worked in three primary areas: estate planning, real estate and business litigation, and personal injury. Mr. Chan has helped hundreds of clients plan their estates, custom-tailoring plans and instructions that provide clients and their families with peace of mind. Mr. Chan has also represented small businesses, real estate and other professionals, and entrepreneurs in providing strategic counseling, negotiating and preparing contracts, agreements and leases, and resolving disputes with negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation. Finally, Mr. Chan has represented persons who have suffered injuries as a result of automobile collisions and other wrongful acts of others. Mr. Chan is fluent in Cantonese and is proficient in Mandarin.
Mr. Chan has been active in a number of community organizations, including serving six years on the board of the American Lung Association. Mr. Chan was elected to the Stockton Unified School Board in 2000, serving for four years. He previously served on the Executive Boards of the California Southern Baptist Association and the California Baptist Foundation. Most recently, Mr. Chan served six-years on the Executive Board of the Pacific Southwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
